District students receive Scholastic Arts Awards
Congratulations to the district students whose hard work and creativity earned them recognition in the Minnesota Scholastic Art Awards. Each year, high school students across Minnesota submit artwork for consideration. The art is submitted in 16 different categories: ceramics, drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, portfolio, fashion, printmaking, design, film, mixed media, jewelry, digital art, expanded projects, comic art, editorial cartoon and architecture.
Students who received an award were deemed in the top 25% of work within that category from around the state, with Honorable Mention winners within the top 25%, Silver Key winners the top 10% and Gold Key winners the top 5%. The gold key recipients will have their work go onto the national competition and will have their work displayed in a local show at the University of Minnesota.
